Have you brought your bike with you?
That’s great, because in Klagenfurt and the surroundings there are numerous cycle paths for every taste. Athletic speed cyclists can try out the Ironman route along Lake Wörthersee (88 kilometres) or also discover lakes Faaker See, Ossiacher See and Maltschacher See on the lake tour (101 kilometres). If you really want to feel the burn in your calves, you can pedal from Klagenfurt to the sunny mountain farmers’ village of Diex. On this 88 kilometre route there are 1,166 m altitude to overcome. Another uphill tour, but one that is much more relaxed, is the Kreuzbergl tour (21 kilometres). This is also one of the many tours you can begin directly in the city centre. The spring water tour leads to a waterfall in Ebenthal (15 kilometres), and the Maria Saal cycle circuit, which offers cultural as well as culinary specialities along the way (18 kilometres), is ideal for families. More interesting cycle tours can be found on our tour portal – including the route description, a map and a QR code.
