Geologically, the Obir Caves are among the most beautiful natural cave systems in Austria. An unparalleled rarity are the living stalactites, which bear witness to 2.6 million years of history. Over a length of about 5 km there are 12 caves. The part that can be visited is connected by a system of corridors 1.3 km long. The absolutely sterile air in the caves has a constant temperature of +8°C.
