Golfclub Seltenheim

Golf, old town and lake!

In no event should golfers leave their irons at home when they are in Klagenfurt.

The Klagenfurt-Seltenheim golf course is just a ten-minute drive from the city boundary. “This course is something special in the whole of Europe”, is how professional golfer Markus Brier described the Lindwurm green. There are two courses extending over gently undulating fairways, nestling in the breath-taking Carinthian landscape.

The 18-hole championship course is a Scottish links course that was created from plans by the American designer Perry O’Dye. In this region of lakes, there’s no getting away from water on the golf course either: water plays a part at every hole of this course. And if time is too short to play 18 holes, Seltenheim also has its Romantic Course, whose nine holes extend over a 7-hole, par 3 course and are mainly in the wooded area. On the covered driving range golfers can work on developing the perfect swing, while the club restaurant offers culinary specialities – and is also open to non-golfers.
