Janez Bratovž

Janez Bratovž is considered a pioneer of modern Slovenian cuisine—and has brought it international recognition through the JB Restaurant: JB was the first Slovenian restaurant to be included on the list of the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants.” Since its founding in 1992, Bratovž has pursued a culinary philosophy based on uncompromising product quality, seasonal ingredients, and clean, natural flavors—Mediterranean influences, French techniques, and Slovenian tradition come together to form a distinctive style. Today, he is leading JB—which has relocated to Radomlje—into the future alongside his son Tomaž (kitchen) and daughter Nina (wine).
